LPC Positivity Children’s Theatre Wins Grant Awards

LPC says thank you to the generosity of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation Michael and Grutzner Funds for funding the LPC Affiliate Positivity Children’s Theatre again in 2019. Funding will be used for scholarships and artistic support.

Julie Stryker

This is the 25th year that Founder and Artistic Director Julie Stryker has been guiding Positivity Children’s Theatre. The two-week program is designed to support the creative energy of children in a fun, innovative atmosphere. The theatre incorporates drama, music, and movement, as well as local playwrights, actors, and musicians in the process of creating an original presentation that often contains history and stories from Madeline Island and the region.

Performances of the final play are open to the public and ticket sales also help support the program.

This year, performances are Friday, August 1, 7 PM, and Saturday, Sunday, August 2-3, 2 PM at the Madeline Island School gymnasium.
