Please join the La Pointe Center for the Arts Board for our annual meeting which will be held Joni’s Beach. This year we will be having a picnic.
Thank you to all our members who support LPC. Our by-laws state that every year we must have a membership meeting to inform our members of our finances and other business plans and to vote on the new Board of Directors. We need a quorum of 15 members to vote. Your meeting participation is much needed and greatly appreciated.
If you are not a member of LPC yet, please consider becoming a part of this great Island organization. You can support so many Island arts and artists that make this a great place.
We will have a short business meeting followed by presentations from our affiliate organizations and the winners of our 2021/2022 grant awards.

For the first time in the history of Positivity Children’s Theatre and the La Pointe Center for the Arts StageMobile, Positivity has taken over the StageMobile for two weeks to write, create and product this year’s production. The StageMobile has been used for the Performance Arts Affiliate FREE Summer Concert Series. Holding the Positivity program at the Stagemobile is a marvelous expansion of purpose.

Taking place at the Harry Nelson Rec Center on the LPC Stagemobile.
Positivity has in the past presented performances at the La Pointe School where tickets have been $10. This year, we are utilizing the Stagemobile. It’s a great use of the stage and should be a fantastic show.

Starting at 3:30, we will have a wide variety of wine and beer from vendors around the state, and delicious cheeses, fruits and artisan breads to accompany the spirits.

At 5 PM we will auction off three cases of wine, and Molly and the Danger Band start up the music at 5:30.

The Wisconsin Arts Board’s “Wisconsin Arts Rescue Program Grant is designed to help secure jobs and keep the doors open to the hundreds of arts organizations in Wisconsin that add value to the state’s economy and bolster the creative life of our communities. Created in response to the continuing pandemic, these grants provide funding to arts organizations for pandemic-related losses sustained due to the cancellation of programming, operations, and events.
Applications for the grant are due on Oct. 14, 2021 at 3pm. Approximately $778,200 will be distributed.

This Saturday, September 4th is the last day to buy tickets for the La Pointe Center for the Arts fundraising raffle drawing. Grand prize includes a three-night stay in a gorgeous home on the shores of Lake Superior on Madeline Island. Included in the package is a boat trip out to Devil’s Island caves, mopeds to explore the Island, and restaurant vouchers to enjoy some of our great food.

3 PM in front of the Beach Club
