On the Streets of Bayfield explores the history of the town from its creation in 1856, through its heyday as an industrial town and tourist mecca and its survival during the Great Depression.

Topics include transportation, lumbering, fishing, town improvements, people, politics, and, of course, the development of the streets of Bayfield. The final chapter and an Appendix of Historical Buildings bring the past into the present.
The author will be joining us live at the Madeline Island Library. There will be no Zoom option for this meeting.
