Pat Donohue Kicks Off LPC Music on Madeline Concerts

July 1, 2017

5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Harry Nelson Recreational Center

Madeline Island, WI

Bring your family and houseguests and fire up a picnic dinner on a Rec Center grill. Or stop at Cafe Seiche, the Beach Club, Grandpa Tony’s, The Pub, or the Farmnhouse and get dinner to go and come enjoy the show.

Grammy-winning fingerpicker Pat Donohue’s devotion to acoustic guitar has made him an American standard, as he echoes the tones of Robert Johnson, Blind Blake, Merle Travis or Muddy Waters. Chet Atkins called Pat one of the greatest fingerpickers in the world today; Leo Kottke called his playing “haunting.”

After releasing his first record, Manhattan to Memphis, on Red House Records in 1985, Donohue went on to become a regular on Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, playing on and writing  music for the show for almost 20 years.

We are excited to welcome Pat back to the Stage Mobile and hope you can join us for this great evening of fine music.

Coming from the mainland? Leave your car, you can walk to the Rec Center and pick up some dinner on the way!
